Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy

ASSHJ uses advanced plagiarism detection software to conduct plagiarism checks and artificial intelligence (AI) writing (AI-generated content) on every manuscript submitted. The software compares the manuscript content against extensive academic and non-academic databases to check for similarity. The software assists in detecting if the manuscript is AI-generated. Also, the editorial team thoroughly checks for proper citations and reference lists, and coherence with the journal guidelines.

Authors have to declare the originality of their manuscript and proper attribution to all the sources used. These processes are deployed for the journal to uphold international committees to academic honesty and integrity.

Acceptable plagiarism similarity percent

ASSHJ accepts for publication a manuscript with a plagiarism similarity and AI-generated content between 13%-15%. Anything above will be sent back to the corresponding author for revision.

Handling plagiarism

The manuscript above the acceptable percentage will be treated based on the plagiarism similarity percentage.

  • <15% Plagiarism: The manuscript will receive an ID and the corresponding author will be informed that the manuscript will be sent for double-blind peer review.
  • 15-40% Plagiarism: The manuscript will not receive ID, rather the corresponding author will be informed to revise the content.
  • >40% Plagiarism: The manuscript will be rejected. The corresponding author is advised to revise and resubmit the manuscript.

Plagiarism detected after publication

The Journal will conduct investigations into the plagiarism found after it has been published. The journal editorial office will get in touch with the corresponding author, its institution, and the funding institution if plagiarism is discovered. Every PDF page plagiarized will be marked. The degree of plagiarism may also determine if the paper is publicly withdrawn.
