Guidelines of Authors

Authors are required to peruse and carefully comply with the following guidelines. We accept all kinds of articles (original research, reviews, conceptual, and many more) provided the paper offers new knowledge in the field of medical and health sciences. ARMHS accepts manuscripts through our online system or email. The submission must include the text, figures, and tables as applicable, using a Microsoft word format. Manuscripts submitted to ARMHS should comply with the following features:

  1. Page Format: All submitted manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft word (MS-word). It should be prepared in Times New Roman Size 12 using A4 on 1.5 line spacing. The line spacing format should extend to references. Please, download the ARMHS Template.
  2. Title: The title should be concise, and properly aligned to the manuscript, describing the paper's contents and context. A title should have a few words, be unambiguous, and have no abbreviations (Chukwuere & Chukwuere, 2020).
  3. Author/s Names, Affiliations, and Emails: The author's full names, affiliations, and emails must be included below the title.
  4. Abstract: The abstract must not be more than 250 words. Headings or subheadings are not required in the abstract. The abstract only provides a brief summary of the submission, covering the study’s background, objectives of the study, methodology, and findings.
  5. Keywords: Submissions should have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 keywords, directly related to the paper's contents and separated with commas.
  6. Introduction: This section presents the background of the study, the objectives (purpose) of the study, the statement of the problem, and the literature in brief (Chukwuere & Chukwuere, 2020).
  7. Literature Review: This section should analytically cover the existing knowledge concerning the paper and prove the existence of a research gap that justifies the current contribution.
  8. Manuscript’s Body: ARMHS does not accept the use of footnotes. In-text citation or reference is allowed, following the American Psychological Association (APA) referencing style, seventh edition.
  9. Figures: Figures should be labeled below the graphics and center-aligned. The figures' graphics should be generated in a high-resolution JPEG, TIFF, GIF, or PowerPoint before adding it to Microsoft word.
  10. Tables: Tables should be labeled on top of the diagram and center-aligned. The tables should be made simple and easy to understand by the general reader and numbered correctly. The caption should be placed above and center-aligned with font size 12 (Times New Roman).
  11. References: All the in-text citations should appear on the reference list following the American Psychological Association (APA) referencing style, seventh edition.

Summary:

  1. The submission should not be under consideration in any other journal for publication and previously published.
  2. The manuscript for submission must be written in English and prepared in Microsoft Word.
  3. All manuscripts for submission must be formatted in a Single-spaced line, Font size - 10-point, Palatino Linotype, Paragraph - Justify. Figures and tables must be placed within the text and centered.
  4. All in-text citations must be on the referencing list, using American Psychology Association (APA) referencing style.
  5. Authors are responsible for the contents of all the submitted, accepted, and published manuscripts.
  6. All the submitted manuscripts are double-blind reviewed.
